Camila Cabello spoke up against those people who criticized one of her dancers.

After releasing her new song "Don't Go Yet," Cabello visited Jimmy Fallon on his "Tonight Show" where she marked her debut performance. She and her dance team wore 1980s outfits to deliver the song perfectly.

She immediately trended online following the number - but for the wrong reason.

Did Camila Cabello's Dancer Wear Blackface?

On Twitter, several internet users expressed their disappointment after seeing one of the backup dancers. They also accused him of wearing blackface during their appearance.

One said, "There is no way in hell I'm performing with someone in BLACKFACE and not aware of it. @Camila_Cabello there's no backsliding out of this. Clearly you've learned absolutely nothing, go with God."

"camila it doesn't matter if it was supposed to be spray tan, this is blackface and it looks like it... ily but this is so disappointing, you should know better by now," another added.

The surge of criticisms prompted the 24-year-old singer to immediately address the issue.

On her official Twitter account, Cabello reasoned out that the white man only suffered from "terrible" spray time. She added that she and her team tried to invite a multicultural group of dancers to perform with her.

Per the singer, she only wanted to show that her performance is not only for Latin people. In fact, she worked with African, American, and white people to complete the performance.

In addition, Cabello shared a screenshot of the dancer's Instagram Story update. The photo shows him posing backstage.

Dancer Ruined Cabello's Goal?

Before performing on the "Tonight Show" stage, Cabello revealed that she wanted to deliver collective joy since she worked hard for it during the process.

The upcoming album "Familia" serves as a follow-up to her previous sophomore LP "Romance."

She told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 that making the whole album made her life better and herself happy.

Cabello added that the song discloses how free she feels about herself. While she stays in the U.S for a long time, her music reportedly brought her back to the memories she created with her family.

As she sang in Spanish again, Camila Cabello reportedly felt surreal while making the album.
