It seems as though Ed Sheeran is totally unstoppable in his homeland. For the sixth week in a row, the "Don't" singer is topping the U.K. album charts with his new album x, beating out releases from the popular rockers who came before him, Eric Clapton and Tom Petty.

According to The Official Charts Company, Sheeran continues to slay Britain's music scene with his personal, funky follow up to +. Though official sales numbers were not revealed, it's safe to say that Sheeran is smashing recent U.K. album numbers. X is officially the longest consecutive No. 1 album abroad since the best-selling Adele record 21, and the bestselling solo male effort since James Blunt's breakthrough Back to Bedlam in 2005.

Adele topped the charts (fittingly) for 21 weeks, and Blunt ruled the U.K. for eight, something Sheeran could very well be on pace to accomplish.

For the second week in a row, Sheeran beat out numerous music legends on the charts. Dolly Parton's new album, Blue Smoke - The Best Of, sits at No. 2 yet again, and Sheeran beat out influences Petty and Clapton with their new efforts.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers' new album Hypnotic Eye debuted at No.7, falling short of fellow classic rocker Eric Clapton, whose collaborative record Eric Clapton & Friends - The Breeze arrived overseas at No. 3.

The other new debut on the U.K. charts comes courtesy of girl group Neon Jungle; its debut effort Welcome to the Jungle started at No. 8.

Other music on the U.K. charts is familiar fare. Sam Smith's heartbreaking record In The Lonely Hour and George Ezra remain on the charts, though they were displaces by Clapton, now standing at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.
