Rapper Kodak Black faced trespassing charges on New Year's Day, which led to his arrest in Broward County, Florida, as said by local reports.

According to NBC News, Black, born Octave Dieuson and legally known as Bill Kapri, was taken into custody on January 1. His representatives later confirmed the news, though no additional information was released regarding his arrest and trespassing accusations.

However, Broward County Sheriff's deputies said they were in contact with the singer around 1:30 am. ET in the Pompano Beach area. As per reports, he later bonded out at 4 am after being taken into custody.

Black's Philanthropy

The arrest came after South Florida Sun-Sentinel had lauded Black for his philanthropy in the South Florida area along with former Broward commissioner and mayor Dale Holness as the sponsor. Black paid college costs for three children of two FBI agents killed during a raid in Sunrise back in February.

Past Cases

This was not the first time the "Tunnel Vision" singer was arrested. Based on a report by CNN, Kapri -- had faced multiple gun and drug charges. In 2016, he was indicted by a grand jury in South Carolina, facing first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Two years later, he went through his imprisonment of more than three years on weapons charges after he pleaded guilty to false written statements "trying to acquire firearms from a federally licensed firearms dealer." The same year, Kodak Black was also arrested for allegedly possessing a weapon second degree and marijuana charges in New York while trying to enter Canada, as stated by the source.

Three other people from his crew joined Kapri as they got detained by US Border and Customs Protection before police arrest. He was then indicted at a Lewiston court and remanded to Niagara County Jail on a $20,000/$40,000 cash bond.

A day after his arrest, he posted bail walking to a parking lot while hiding his face with a fan of money.
