According to reports, rapper J $tash took his own life at 28-years-old on New Year's Day.

Apparently, the Florida-based rapper, whose real name is Justin Joseph, initially killed a 27-year-old woman named Jeanette Gallegos in front of her three young children before he shot himself, as stated on a report from KTLA 5 via HotNewHipHop. Reports say that they were also in a relationship.

The scene happened at home in Temple City, Los Angeles, following a response from the police to a domestic violence call located at 9200 block of Pentland Street on Saturday, January 1 at 7:15 am. The woman was found dead at the scene, along with Joseph. The gun used was found in the location as well.

Inside the 'Murder-Suicide' Case

The Sun revealed a statement from Lieutenant Derrick Alfred confirming a murder-suicide case. The couple said to have argued about their relationship before J $tash said to have taken Gallegos into the master bedroom and locked the door.

Lt. Alfred also stated that the children, aged seven, nine, and 11, knocked on the door to ensure their mom was okay. And later on, they heard gunshots which made them call their grandmother, who told them to call the police.

The source further announced that J $tash and Gallegos' bodies will go through autopsies as they work to find out what led up to the gunfire, claiming a possibility for a domestic violence situation. Though, Deputies left without making any arrests.

Based on their neighbors' information, the two were in a relationship for a year, and none of the children were related to the rapper.

J $tash was known to be affiliated with Rich The Kid, as he became a former signee to his "Rich Forever" label. As soon as the news reached social media, co-rappers shared their message regarding his death.

Rapper SpotemGottem updated on his Instagram story, "Speechless wishing this is a dream damn J."

May his soul rest in peace.
