Carlos Marin would be the highlight of II Divo's upcoming tour.

The most-awaited return of II Divo had been postponed this year due to a member's ongoing illness. At that time, Marin reportedly felt sick a few days before his hospitalization and even wanted to push through with the group's event since he believed he would recover soon.

However, Marin lost his chance to be on stage again after succumbing due to COVID-19 complications.

II Divo To Honor Carlos Marin

Following his tragic death, II Divo decided to announce the career retrospective and continue the previously titled "For Once in My Life Tour" as a best of hits show.

"The tour will be filled with Il Divo's hits from their vast catalog of songs with an incredible stage production," they assured.

The surviving members - David Miller, Sebastien Izambard, and Urs Buhler - will hold the tour alongside Mexican American singer, Steven LaBrie.

They added that the tour would be a special tribute to Marin.\

Their fans immediately showed massive support to the group and wished them to have a successful tour for the band and Marin.

One said, "Good luck! Make Carlos proud! We can't wait to see you on stage with "our" boys !"

"I am a huge Il Divo fan from England and was at a meet and greet with them days before he was taken ill. I'm due to see then in Marbella in July this year too. I just want to wish you lots of luck with the tour and I'm sure the devoted fans will welcome you on stage. All the best to you all x," another added.

What Happened to Carlos Marin?

The news outlet revealed that TVE program Corazon Corazon first revealed (via Daily Mail) that the singer contracted COVID-19 a few days before his admission. He stayed inside an Intensive Care Unit at Manchester Royal Center in England after being first rushed to the medical facility on December 8. Marin was also put into an induced coma after getting intubated.

Unfortunately, Marin did not make it and ultimately left his band for good a few days later.

"It is with heavy hearts that we are letting you know that our friend and partner, Carlos Marin, has passed away. He will be missed by his friends, family and fans. There wiIl never be another voice or spirit like Carlos," the band went on.
