It is definitely a dream come true performance for Ice Cube.

The NASCAR Busch Light Clash is enlisting Rapper Ice Cube to perform for their "halftime" performance.

NASCAR has said that rapper Ice Cube will perform during a break in the 150-lap Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum on February 6, 2022.

The race will be held on a temporary quarter-mile track built inside the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.

The Busch Light Clash, where the 52-year-old rapper will perform, will be shown live on FOX as part of the race's overall coverage.

Fan of NASCAR

O'Shea Jackson Sr., more widely known as Ice Cube, has admitted that he "have long been a fan of NASCAR from afar" and has become "an even bigger fan" after seeing the race car action in person.

Ice Cube has expressed his excitement to be a part of an "incredible day for NASCAR and LA".

From being a NASCAR fan from afar, he will now perform "for all of the fans" at the Coliseum and the million fans watching at home.

NASCAR's Senior VP for Strategy and Innovation Ben Kennedy explained in a press statement that Ice Cube is "more than a rapper, actor, and entertainer".

Ice Cube, who wrote the 1988 N.W.A. protest song "F-- tha Police" is no stranger to professional sports as he founded the Big3 three-on-three basketball league.

He also previously attended a NASCAR race at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.

Other performances in the area

Before the race on Sunday evening, Pitbull, another iconic rapper and co-owner of the Trackhouse Racing team, will perform a 45-minute performance at the track.

The NASCAR Busch Light Clash will take place a week before the Super Bowl, which will be hosted across Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium.

The annual sporting event will feature a halftime performance from Ice Cube's N.W.A. bandmate Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige.

As for the NASCAR Busch Light Clash, more performers will be announced on the coming weeks as the sporting event comes close on February 6, 2022.
