After disbanding two decades ago, former Boyzone member Keith Duffy reveals a shocking confession about his time in the band.

To establish the new man band Boyzlife, the 47-year-old singer has linked up with former Westlife member Brian McFadden.

The two made their debut as a pop duo with their first album," Strings Attached," and they are now working on their second album, "Old School," which they would release in May this year.

Keith Duffy Felt Pushed Back?

With only him and Brian taking the stage now, Keith felt "revitalized" as he now has an opportunity to be noticed, something the singer did not feel when he was still in Boyzone with Shane Lynch, Ronan Keating, and Mikey Graham.

Speaking to OK Magazine recently, he recalled a sad memory that her parents had witnessed during a Boyzone concert.

"It was difficult when my mum and dad came to see us playing Wembley - I wasn't up front as I was pushed to the back," he explained.

But now, with Brian, Keith is delighted to be noticed and seen.

Fortunately, before his father passed away a year ago, he still had the chance to show him that he was now upfront.

Keith paid tribute to his "hero and idol" father, who passed away at 77 years old because of an undisclosed illness.

Keith Duffy Is Working With Brian McFadden

After leaving Westlife in 2004 to spend more time with his family, Brian McFadden also left the boyband to pursue a solo career.

In the same interview, Keith explained his and Brian's dynamic worked.

As per Duffy, since Briand had a solo career that earned him several chart-topping songs, he has now been given a chance to "get much more out of what we do" because he is now singing lead, compared to when he was in Boyzone.

"It was really difficult in the 90s being in Boyzone because we were so successful, but Shane, myself, and Mikey probably would have been looked upon as not being there for our voices," Keith elaborated.

Set for release on May 2022, Boyzlife will release their first original material studio album, "Old School."
