Halsey is providing followers with an update on their health after claiming they spent the majority of April "in and out of the hospital."

"Obviously my health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth," Halsey, the mother of 9-month-old boy Ender, said on Tuesday in Instagram Stories videos. She gave birth last July 2021.

"I started getting really, really, really, sick... I was hospitalized for anaphylaxis, a few times, and I had some other stuff going on," she added.

Halsey, who uses "she/they" pronouns, also disclosed that they have been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogren's syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). That's a lot to handle by one person - one body.

Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a set of genetic disorders that affect your connective tissues, particularly your skin, joints, and blood vessel walls, whereas Sjogren's syndrome is an immune system disorder characterized by dry eyes and a dry mouth.

On the other hand, mast cell activation syndrome causes the immune system to incorrectly activate mast cells, which can lead to the excessive release of mediators and severe allergic reactions that affect multiple body systems.

Lastly, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome is characterized by an elevated heart rate, a drop in blood pressure, and dizziness while a person is standing up.

But Halsey seems strong in spirit, giving an update to their fans as to how they are dealing with her circumstances. They shared that they had been studying a lot about them, trying to find the root cause.

"I've been looking for answers to the root cause of some of these things, which may be an autoimmune disease. And I know I've had autoimmune issues for most of my life, especially having endometriosis," they explained.

The singer is also not slowing down, but they are careful not to jeopardize their health any further.

A few days after undergoing endometriosis surgery, the musician attended the 2022 Grammys last month. However, they left the ceremony early because they were "not feeling all that great."

However, they revealed in an Instagram story that she specifically attended the event to meet their idols, BTS. They were successful in their efforts. The story also included a red carpet photo and film of the singer's eagle-eye view of her K-pop friends crushing it super agent style during their dramatic performance of "Butter" at the awards presentation.
