Naomi Judd's daughter shared heartbreaking new revelations about her mother's death.

Ashley Judd confessed to "Good Morning America" (via Daily Mail) on Thursday that her famous mother shot herself with a pistol the day before she was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The actress, who fought back tears throughout the interview, also disclosed that Naomi Judd killed herself with a gun on April 30 at her Tennessee property as she struggled with mental health.

Ashley revealed further facts about their famous mother's suicide last month in her first television appearance about it.

She told GMA that regardless of the actual manner of death or the autopsy, it's "far too soon, and that's crucial for us to say upfront."

Ashley mentioned in her final moments with Naomi Judd that she had mixed emotions when she saw her.

"So, I was at the home, like I do every day, and mom asked, 'Will you stay with me?'"

"Of course, I will," Ashley allegedly said.

She subsequently went outside to welcome a family friend, and as she was about to notify her mother that their visitor had arrived, Ashley discovered Naomi Judd dead.

The actress admitted to experiencing both sadness and anguish after seeing her mother's lifeless corpse.

Ashley Judd said that they would not release every information to the public in order to protect her dignity and privacy.

Ashley Judd's Mental Health Advice

Ashley Judd also revealed that her mother was aware that she had a large number of supporters who are behind her amid her mental health issues.

She then provided viewers some advice, emphasizing the need of distinguishing between someone suffering from mental illness and the sickness itself.

"It's extremely real, and it's sufficient to - it lies."

"It's nasty, and my mother - our mother - couldn't hold out until she was admitted into the Hall of Fame by her peers."

She and her sister Wynonna, who sang in The Judds with Naomi for years, first discussed Naomi's death during the Country Music Hall of Fame event on May 1.

Meanwhile, Larry Strickland, the widowed husband, issued a statement requesting privacy at this "heartbreaking period."

The "Double Jeopardy" host expressed gratitude to "GMA" for the outpouring of love and sympathies for their family. She expressed gratitude to everyone for their help.

"I'm here as an individual sitting with you alone, but both my sister and Pop have sort of deputized me in some respects to speak on behalf of the family at this early stage - before things regarding the 30th of April become public outside of our control."
