Throughout the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, social media users were unhappy with Diddy's selection as the event's presenter and did not resist themselves in criticizing him. Particularly, many were displeased with his promotion of his new songs, Ciroc vodka, his son's performance, and other activities when he was supposed to be hosting and placing the limelight to others.

Although Diddy legally changed his middle name to "Love," one can say he is just not receiving any on Twitter. The social media platform was flooded with responses to Diddy's hosting stint at the 2022 Billboard Awards on Sunday (May 15), with many criticizing the Bad Boy mogul for blatantly promoting all things related to him and not the show.

As the executive producer of the yearly event, Diddy apparently grasped the opportunity to do so, but many individuals found it offensive. They tweeted BBMAs and wrote they made the wrong decision give Diddy three hours to promote all of his products, which for them is quite revolting.

One fan commented, "P Diddy is the worst host" he has ever seen on television, because he cannot stop being self-centered. One even said he must be drunk and the show should be terminated by just how bad he was hosting.

Others were angered by Diddy's decision to invite Travis Scott and Morgan Wallen to the concert.

"Diddy offers an award for anti-racism advocacy while also promoting Morgan Wallen," said one commenter.

Wallen was criticized in 2021 after a video of him using the N-word surfaced, while Scott organized the Astroworld concert where ten fans were killed in a crowd crush.

Diddy stated on social media prior to the event that he is so done with the cancel culture.

"As a music family, none of us are saints; none of us are without things that happen to them in life, so one of the things I'm doing directly is un-canceling the canceled," he said. "That's breaking news because people haven't been about un-canceling. But canceling is a trend that needs to stop."

He added, "My brother Travis Scott has to perform. Travis went through a tragedy; Morgan [hurled the n-word] while talking to his boy. People make mistakes. Now we're moving on with love and respect for everybody that was hurt or affected. It's time to forgive."
