For the last time in their careers, The O'Jays will be treating fans to a show of a lifetime as they embark on their farewell tour before they completely retire from the music industry.

Titled "Last Stop On The Love Train" tour," the trio, consisting of Eddie Levert, Walter Williams, and Eric Nolan Grant, will join forces to perform some of their most iconic hits from their 60-year-long music catalog.

The tour is named after their 1974 smash hit "Love Train."

In an official statement, Levert said he was thinking of quietly retiring, not leaving a trace of his disappearance from the spotlight, but he realized that their fans "weren't having it."

"The love and physical benefits of performing keeps us on the younger side of our age. This tour is a celebration of all of our lives and the struggles and joys that got us to today," he added.

The musician noted that it was time for them to say goodbye, and they would like to do it in person.

"Please come join us as we play the music we have shared together over the past 60 years, one last time," the singer invited fans. (via BET)

Williams then cracked a joke, saying they would be 160 years old by the end of their tour, and they wanted to say farewell to their friends, family, and fans one last time.

Throughout their careers, the trio has gained popularity because of their number one songs like "For The Love of Money," "Family Reunion," "Use Ta Be My Girl," and more.

They also had nine platinum albums, ten gold records, and 12 other remarkable projects.

The O'Jays got their legendary statuses after being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.

They were also inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame before receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BET Awards. Their last honor was in the R&B Music Hall of Fame in 2013.

The band released their final album, "The Last Word," in 2019, co-produced by the late Betty Wright.

According to VIBE, Tour dates will be announced anytime soon, but they confirmed that the trio would be performing at this year's AFRAM Festival in Baltimore during the Juneteenth weekend and the Cincinnati Music Festival.

Their first show will be in Chicago on July 21. Pre-sale tickets will be available to the public starting on May 26.
