Liam Gallagher is about to embark on his most anticipated solo tour yet.

The rocker couldn't keep his enthusiasm in check, telling The Sun, "It's going to be top." Man, I can't wait."

In an interview with Liam as he prepares for the shows, which will feature him playing solo material as well as oldies from Oasis' repertoire.

Despite hip discomfort, his forthcoming gigs will not be impacted significantly.

"I've had these injections, these steroid things, so now I'm f---g buzzing," the 49-year-old said of the drugs.

"It's simply fantastic to be back doing some shows," Liam said of playing in front of audiences again. We've completed our rehearsals, and all that remains are a few final touches. But it's all there, dude - I just hope the weather holds out."

Over 160,000 fans will attend the two gigs on June 3 and 4 at Knebworth House in the United Kingdom, the same venue where he and his former band Oasis memorably played two sold-out nights back in 1996.

During the height of Oasis' fame, almost 250,000 people crammed into the Stevenage estate.

Is performing in that place, though, bringing back memories for Liam Gallagher and his brother Noel? "No," the singer responded firmly.

Liam raged, adding that this brother had his "f---g chance" to resurrect Oasis, but Noel apparently refuses.

Liam Gallagher feels he must do it since his brother does not.

"So I decided that if he didn't want to do it, I'd have to do it and bring it to the public." That is EXACTLY what I am doing."

Liam went on to clarify that he's doing it again because of the fans - it's something he feels the people want, and he's simply doing it to follow their requests.

Oasis fans will also be disappointed because Liam has admitted that the band will not be reuniting anytime soon but is hoping for a fantastic show.

The band disbanded in 2009, following the breakdown of Liam and Noel's relationship.

Liam is said to have little sympathy for his brother, who required stitches and was drenched in blood after being unintentionally headbutted while celebrating Manchester City's Premier League victory.

"He'll do anything to get in the Press, that kid."
