Five years since the release of her debut studio album, SZA has commemorated its anniversary by releasing "Ctrl (Deluxe)."

The critically-acclaimed album has launched the female vocalist to stardom after receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics.

Since its release, the album has given SZA the boost she needed to enter the mainstream R&B and pop scene - which then give birth to her collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Doja Cat, and Travis Scott, among others.

SZA 'Ctrl (Deluxe)' Released With Seven More Songs

Released exactly today five years ago, "Ctrl" gets the expanded version that SZA's fans have long yearned for.

On the deluxe edition, SZA added seven unreleased tracks, which were all made at the same time the other songs were composed at the time.

SZA's collaboration with Travis Scott, "Love Galore" gets an alternate version, now without the rapper.

"2AM," a track that Drake has co-written with SZA, 40, PartyNextDoor, and Fayne also hit the stands.

The 32-year-old singer also released "Miles," "Percolator," "Tread Carefully," and "Awkward" on the expanded deluxe version of the album.

Meanwhile, the album's last track, "Jodie" was a Tyler The Creator-co-written and produced masterpiece.

SZA 'Ctrl' Accolades, Awards, and Commercial Performance

SZA's debut album "Ctrl" was her best work yet, as she has yet to release a follow-up for the project this year.

The success of the album has launched the career of the R&B singer. Because of "Ctrl," SZA was nominated for five different categories at the 2018 GRAMMYs.

"Ctrl" was nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album, "Love Galore" gets a nod for Best Rap/Sung Performance including Travis Scott, Best R&B Performance for "The Weekend," Best R&B Song for "Supermodel," while SZA herself gets nominated for Best New Artist - losing to Alessia Cara.

But despite not winning any gramophones at the time, the album has performed so well in the charts. The album debuted on the Billboard 200 charts at No. 3, and No. 2 on the Top R&B/HipHop albums at the time of its opening week.

Billboard and New York Times have ranked "Ctrl" No. 2 as the Best Albums of 2017 while NME and Rolling Stone listed it at No. 7 and No. 20, respectively.

As of this writing, SZA's second studio album is still in the works but is expected to be released sometime this year.
