Ed Sheeran has renewed her sponsorship on the Ipswich Town Football Club days after performing at the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

The English singer was a prominent football fan, as he was spotted numerous times watching various sporting events this year and last year.

Sheeran's sponsorship of the team is two-way, as this was also a promotional effort for his ongoing and upcoming world tour, which already started in the United Kingdom.

As BBC reported, Ed Sheerann signed another sponsorship deal for the Ipswich Town Football Club.

This is not the first time that the singer has sponsored the team. Last seaosn, he has also signed a deal with Ipswich - that is why his logo, which was advertising his current world tour, appeared on the uniforms and shirts of the Ipswich Town men's and women's team.

"I am delighted to be sponsoring Ipswich Town for another season. The club and the local community mean a lot to me, and I always try to get back to Portman Road whenever I'm back in Suffolk. See you next season," Sheeran said in a statement.

Thankful for the sponsorship, Town's CEO Mark Ashton hinted that this sponsorship might not be the last time they would be working together.

"It is fantastic that Ed has agreed to continue his sponsorship of the first-team shirts. Ed is a passionate fan of the Club and the community of Suffolk. We will continue to work with him and his team to build what is already a strong and exciting relationship. We are grateful for his continued support, and we look forward to welcoming him to Portman Road again soon," Ashton told Mirror UK.

The new shirts that Ed Sheeran sponsored for the Ipswich Town Football club are expected to be unveiled later this month, which also had a change of manufacturer.

Ashton also revealed that they had sold more home shirts than they had done for 15 years last season - inlcuding more than double the quantity they have sold on the 2020-2021 campaign - all because of the Ed Sheeran sponsorhip.

Ed Sheeran's "Equals Tour" came with an additional four new tracks two weeks ago, these are included on the "Tour" version of the 2021-released album.
