Jennifer Lopez's new Netflix documentary, "Halftime," reveals that she was unhappy about performing alongside Shakira at the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show. Reportedly, the Latina icon feels insulted.

It wasn't because J.Lo, 52, dislikes Shakira, 45, or anything similar. Instead, the "Let's Get Loud" singer was dissatisfied with the NFL for requiring the two Latina celebrities to perform together, so limiting their performance time.

According to Entertainment Weekly, J.Lo exclaimed to her music director Kim Burse while prepping for the halftime show, "We have six f**king minutes," J.Lo said to her music director Kim Burse while preparing for the halftime show in the doc, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. "We have 30 seconds of a song, and if we take a minute, that's it, we've got five left," she added.

J.Lo stated that she and Shakira were required to perform "certain songs" at the concert. "We have to have our singing moments. It's not going to be a dance f**king revue. We have to sing our message." Shockingly. J.Lo went on to say that "this is worst idea in the world to have two people do the Super Bowl. It was the worst idea in the world."

Benny Medina, her manager, felt similarly about the Halftime Show issue. During an interview for the documentary, Benny stated that usually there is one headliner at the Super Bowl and this privileged artist is the one who designs the show.

If other performers are to invited, it will be up to the headliner and no one else. But this is not the thing with the decision to have Jennifer Lopez and Shakira perform together.

Therefore, it really feels "insulting" to actually require two Latinas do the job that one artist can do.

it can be recalled that the said performance caused an uproar among the viewers as well.

Many parents were enraged after watching the program with their children. Nearly half of the 1,300 complaints stated that the halftime performance was unsuitable for youngsters. A fan from Utah stated that Jennifer Lopez's performance at the Super Bowl halftime show was excessively sexual and utterly improper for a family-friendly event.

As a result, he needed his kids to step out of the room while the performance was playing on television.
One said that their family was really thrilled to see tonight's Super Bowl but he was unprepared to explain to my 11-year-old daughter why Jennifer Lopez wore such revealing clothing and why she kept groping her crotch. Some said the performance was just too "erotic." Some questioned what the performance was teaching to young girls.
