Good news for Julion Alvarez fans! You can now stream your favorite singer's music on Spotify again after his five-year ban in the United States following a shocking drug-related scandal.

According to Billboard, the Julión álvarez Y Su Norteño Banda frontman was linked to Mexican drug kingpin Raul Flores Hernandez and the Flores Drug Trafficking Organization by the U.S. Department of Treasury.

The scandal led his music to be removed from the online streaming platform as authorities revealed that all assets of an individual under the U.S. jurisdiction are "generally prohibited from engaging in transactions with them."

The Latin singer denied all accusations and links to the drug kingpin. Fortunately, he was removed from the Office of the Foreign Assets Control's Specially Designated Nationals list last month.

The 39-year-old musician revealed that multiple accounts attempted to upload his music on several streaming platforms "illegally," but they were taken down shortly.

As of now, Spotify is the only platform that features his music catalog.

Speaking on the future of his music, Alvarez said in a social media post that they're slowly working with other platforms for his music to be released.

"Things continue to be favorable. It's another victory and in a way, I'm getting tools back to continue to work. God willing, in a few days, we'll be able to release new music," he added.

In a press conference in Mexico after he was taken off the Specially Designated Nationals List, the singer revealed how he was associated with the drug trafficking issue.

Alvarez noted that he associated himself with a "construction company that builds homes" in 2013 and had no idea that the government was investigating the people he worked with.

During the process, the singer said he learned many things in life as it changed him for the better. He noted that he's now more patient and calm.

"Now, I have the strength and knowledge to lead my finances. I've been through many investigations and discrimination but I can now go out with my head held up high and say we are victorious," he added.

Amid his issue, the outlet noted that Alvarez's career was skyrocketing as one of the top-selling acts in the regional Mexican genre.

He has never toured in the U.S. since the scandal and has not revealed if he'll go on tour soon.

However, the Latin star said his deal with Universal would end after he released the last album he owes the music giant.
