Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, a superstar couple in country music, had experienced so many things in life before to co-starring on the television series 1883. Deciding to act together was a mutual one, because they realized that it is the only thing they have not done, through the years that they have been with each other.

"We've been married, this year, for 26 years, raised three kids, performed together," Faith exclusively told E! News' Daily Pop, revealing that they had "done most everything together but acted together."

This is what "1883" offered them the chance to do.  In the Yellowstone prequel, they portray James and Margaret, a married couple. And for their first screen appearance, they had one rule - never to bring this acting project home, even though of course, they can, since they're co-stars.

"I felt it was important that we didn't run lines," she explained. "We didn't talk about our scenes at all, ever, until we were on set as James and as Margaret and said 'Action.'"

One exception was when they discussed the nuances of their fight scenes.

Tim stated on Daily Pop that the only thing the group discussed was avoiding a TV smack. They do not want a fake slap, something most actors would choose to do, but a real one, because they're married and that makes them super comfortable and trusting of each other. "We can take it," Tim McGraw told Daily Pop.

Hilariously, McGraw said when it happened, it still did quite a number on him, because Hill certainly did not bother holding back.

"It took me a couple of times to remember my lines after that first hit," Tim revealed. "And then, after about the eighth take, I was like, 'Okay, do we need to have a conversation? Is there something going on that I don't know about?'"

However, there is nothing to worry about in the McGraw-Hill home. As Faith noted that no slapping takes place between them within their marriage.

1883 is currently streaming on Paramount+.

The power couple has hit a personal and career milestone recently as well, apart from getting this opportunity to act together. The duo celebrated the 25th anniversary of their first debut, "It's Your Love," and the couple could not help but reminisce how special this song is for them.

Hill told ET's Cassie DiLaura during the Paramount + U.K. launch event that she was also very pregnant at the time.

McGraw echoed his wife's sentiments about filming the video. He added that when they were shooting the video, his wife was actually craving a milkshake - which is a new bit of information fans of the couple would be delighted to know.
