The director of Justin Timberlake's arrangement to film a documentary about his breakthrough album "The 20/20 Experience" is now suing the singer for years of hard work. 

Based on the recent lawsuit,  Justin Timberlake recruited him in 2012 to film and edit a documentary on the making of his third studio album. 

According to the said lawsuit, which was acquired by TMZ, Urbano alleges Justin proposed a deal in which he would share revenues from the film with Urbano instead of paying him his standard fee; however, Justin shelved the documentary, leading the director to believe he was shafted. 

Urbano asserts that he filmed Justin for a total of sixty days across the globe and spent approximately two thousand five hundred hours editing the footage into the documentary "The Making of The 20/20 Experience." 

The filmmaker claims that if he had been paid up front for the documentary his filming and editing fees would have totaled $2,450,000. However, he has only received a small $20,000 upfront fee plus reimbursements for expenditures incurred while production. According to his calculations, Urbano has only been paid $7 per hour for the project. 

Urbano claims that Justin was initially touched by the unreleased documentary, but lost interest in it once his album became his most successful solo effort. 

The problem for Urbano is that he claims Justin pledged to split revenues with him, but if the doc stays on a shelf, the prospect of a large income evaporates. 

Urbano alleges that Justin exploited his network of agents, managers, and handlers to prevent the director from being paid.

He's now seeking compensation for a purportedly breached contract.

The filmmaker wants Justin to pay far more money, and he also wants a judge to rule that he owns all of the documentary's rights. 

Justin's camp is yet to react. 

Meanwhile, the singer recently went viral for an "awful" dance routine during a Washington D.C. performance. The reactions were so violent that Justin Timberlake even felt compelled to issue a funny apology. "D.C., I want to apologize to you for two reasons: here and here," he said in a video posted to his Instagram Stories, zooming the camera into a close up of his feet. "I had a long talk with both of them, individually, and said, 'Don't you ever do that to me again.'"
