Luke Bryan may be one of the biggest country stars in the music industry today, but he considers another figure as one of his biggest idols.

According to Outsider, the "That's My Kind of Night" hitmaker met his ultimate idol, Vince Gill, again during a charity golf tournament in Tennessee.

After the Foundation Golf Invitational, the duo performed in an impromptu show where they swapped songs and share their unforgettable stories with the audience.

The pair dueted the song "Take it Easy" by the Eagles and Jason Aldean's "Night Train."

It wouldn't be a country show without the two performing their own songs as Gill played "Liza Jane" and "Whenever You Come Around" while Bryan sang "I Don't Want This Night to End."

During the show, the two country stars shared stories including their first encounter.

How Did Luke Bryan, Vince Gill Meet?

Bryan said Gill was sitting at a boutique and he walked in to shake his hand. He then revealed that his idol was the first country music celebrity he ever met.

"He stood up and shook my hand and then, so many years later, we get to sit on a stage like this and have fun, in a true musician, organic, not planned fashion, which is what music ought to be, in my opinion," he added.

The singer added that their encounter "does not happen" in the hip-hop industry.

Among the attendees of the event was his wife Caroline. The event was created in honor of Sadie Brett Boyer, a girl who died a few months after she was born because of down syndrome.

Sadie was the niece of Bryan.

2022 Is a Busy Year for Luke Bryan

Aside from his "Raised Up Right" tour, the country singer is also working on his upcoming album, the follow-up to his 2020 record, "Born Here Live Here Die Here."

Appearing on Sirius XM's "The Highway" a few months ago, the 45-year-old musician said half of the project is done and he needed a few more months before releasing it to the public.

Bryan also teased fans, saying his team is working hard in the studio and they have "several songs" that they felt like could be singles.

He already dropped the song "Country On" last month.

Regarding his scheduled tour, his next show will be on August 19 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
