Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, broke their silence over why they did not attend their mother's June wedding to Sam Asghari.
The two youngsters, whom the singer shares with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, spoke candidly about their decision not to attend the wedding in an interview with documentary filmmaker Daphne Barak for ITV, as reported by the Daily Mail UK.
"At the time it just wasn't a good time to go," Jayden explained.
"I'm not saying that I'm not happy for her, I'm really happy for them, but she didn't invite the whole family and then if it was just going to be me and Preston, I just don't see how that situation would have ended on good terms," the boy added.
Unfortunately, the relationship between the "Toxic" star and her only children is not currently "on good terms."
Britney Spears has been engaged in a public dispute with Kevin after he questioned her parenting in an interview, claiming Sean and Jayden have decided not to see their mother at the present.

Spears shot back on Instagram, writing, "It saddens me to hear that my ex husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children... As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone."
Federline also asserted that Britney's recent provocative social media selfies contributed significantly to the problem, describing it as "difficult" for the high school-aged lads.
Spears made reference to these remarks by stating, "It concerns me the reason is based on my Instagram. It was LONG before Instagram."
In the same interview, Jayden insists that there is "no animosity" between them and their mom, but he acknowledges that it will take a great deal of time and effort to mend their strained connection. The ray of light comes from the fact that Jayden fully believes this relationship can be resolved, as long as time and work are devoted into its repair. He also added that he wants his mom to be more mentally healthy and when she recovers, he's willing to meet and talk once more.
He added that he loves his mom very much.
According to Daily Mail, despite being the youngest brother, Jayden is the most outgoing; he is a self-taught pianist who, maybe like his mother, regards music as "therapy" and talks on behalf of his siblings. Additionally interested in music and art, Preston is more sensitive and camera shy. The two share an unbreakable relationship resulting from their distinct upbringings.
