While there is no official word whether Frank Ocean is indeed planning to release an album anytime soon, his cleared-out Instagram account seems to suggest otherwise.

On Sept. 26, fans noticed that the "Thinkin Bout You" singer's Instagram page was empty, which led them to believe that a new era of Ocean's music is coming soon.

Fans React

Of course, Ocean's fans are hyped for the notion that the Californian singer-songwriter is gearing up for a new album, it has been six years since his last release after all. "Blonde," his second studio album was released in 2016. While he has kept fans somewhat entertained by sporadically releasing songs here and there, the alleged forthcoming album has been highly anticipated. "If Frank Ocean drops an album this year, Imma cry [for real, for real]," wrote a fan.

Some fans have grouped Ocean with other musicians whose comebacks are also highly anticipated, including Rihanna, who just announced that she will be making a comeback by performing at the Super Bowl LVII yesterday.

"Rihanna & Frank Ocean announcing their comebacks not even 24 hours from each other... [I don't know] what's going on but I love it," a fan tweeted.

While some fans are excited and ecstatic with the news of the alleged album, some are more skeptical.

Where Is Frank?

According to reports, Ocean was rumored to have meetings with label executives. However, these claims are unconfirmed by Ocean or his team.

Instead of making music, he has been around for different reasons. In July, he released two episodes of "Blonded Radio," his show on Apple Music. In the following month, he released a luxury sex toy.

While the two-time Grammy winner has mostly kept out of the music scene for the most part, he has released singles between 2017 and 2020.

"Chanel" was released March 2017, followed by "Biking" in April, featuring Jay-Z and Typer, The Creator, and "Provider" in August.

In 2018, he released a copy of "Moon River." By 2019, he released two singles, "DHL" and "In My Room." His latest releases are "Dear April" and "Cayendo," both released in 2020.

Music releases were halted following the tragic death of his brother, The Post reports. This has left fans wondering if the "Lost" singer would ever make a come back.

Ocean, born Christopher Edwin Breaux, rose to prominence after the release of his mixtape, "Nostalgia, Ultra," released in 2011. The success of the mixtape brought several collaborations with Jay-Z and Kanye West.

He released his debut studio album "Channel Orange," which was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, and won Best Ubran Contemporary Album.

As of this writing, there is no official word regarding the alleged album or Ocean's plan to return to music or leave it behind altogether.
