Paramore is currently touring across the United States over the past few days and an unfortunate incident happened during their show in Salt Lake City on October 4.

Taking to their official Twitter account, the band shared a statement regarding an incident involving a concertgoer and other fans who attended their show at the Great Saltair in Magna, Utah.

"We were made aware of an incident that happened in the crowd while we were on stage," they wrote.

A man reportedly physically and verbally assaulted several women and an engaged couple while they were performing their hit songs.

Fortunately, the security team and venue staff were alerted by the incident, leading them to restrain and kick out the unknown person from the venue.

Paramore noted they didn't realize that an assault was happening in the crowd because it was out of view from the spot where they were positioned on stage.

The band clarified that if they witnessed the incident, they would have stopped the show until it was under control.

"PARAMORE DOES NOT CONDONE violence, homophobia, or bigotry of any kind. It is supremely unwelcome in our community and has no place at our shows," they added. (via NME)

Offering their apologies to fans who attended the show that evening, the band said they were sorry for those who witnessed the unfortunate encounter and ensured that they will do anything to protect their fans to make them feel celebrated.

As of this writing, it is unclear whether the man was charged or detained by the police.

Paramore Surprises Fans With 'Misery Business' After 4 Years

In other updates regarding their tour, Paramore performed at the Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield, California, for the first show of their concert.

Fans were shocked as frontwoman Hayley Williams announced that the band will be performing "Misery Business" after it got "canceled" a few years ago.

In 2018, Paramore revealed they will no longer perform the song after the backlash it received due to its misogynist lyrics. They made a significant decision because the band feels like they should and it was time to move away from the track.

During the concert, the vocalist said they didn't know "five minutes after I got canceled for saying" a specific word, TikTok decided for them that it was okay.
