In celebration of the 20th anniversary of her fourth studio album, "Stripped," Christina Aguilera unveiled a brand new music video for her iconic song "Beautiful."

She shared a clip from the music video that showed little girls putting makeup on in front of a ring light and a cellphone.

"Tune out and turn in. Take your space, log off, put your mind, body, and soul first," she wrote.

The description beneath the music video read, "Social media has transformed our relationship with our bodies, and in turn, our mental health."

The almost five-minute music video was directed by Fiona Jane Burgess and followed numerous children going through different struggles, most of which stemmed from the negative effects of social media.

According to reports, the original music video for the song also tackled several issues such as eating disorders, LGBTQIA+ issues, and racial identity.

The message she wanted to portray not just from the music videos, but also despite the big gap between the two music videos, the issues remain the same, if not worse.

The music video followed different children from different walks of life, going through different struggles, but all come up with one conclusion. It is to reject the standards set and live their lives according to their wishes.

Unlike her original music video, Aguilera does not make an appearance in this music video, instead, she highlights the importance of the message behind her music video.

It ends with a bleeding phone and a note, "In the last 20 years, since 'Stripped' was first released, social media has transformed our relationship with our bodies, and in turn, our mental health."

"Research suggests that time spent on social media sites is associated with body image issues, self-harm, and disordered eating in children and teens. This needs to change."

Fans React

Fans were moved by the heartfelt message the 41-year-old singer wanted to convey.

"You made me cry in 2002 and made me cry again in 2022. Your record changed my life forever, I'm grateful for your existence and for sharing your art with us. Thank you, Christina," a fan commented on the music video.

Another added, "I'm not a [crier] but this had me sobbing thinking about how much my childhood was wasted comparing myself to other kids, magazines, artists, living on my phone. Love yourself, people! You are so loved and perfect the way you are. Thanks, Christina for this. Stripped will forever be iconic as well as all of your other work. Liberation and Lotus are underrated and Aguilera is needed on vinyl. Please and thank you kween!"

Aside from the rerelease of the music video for "Beautiful," Aguilera will also release a digital edition of the album, featuring new cover art and bonus tracks.
