Taylor Swift's newest album Midnights has moved over 1 million units in THREE DAYS, breaking the record. Of course, she was already the holder of the previous record.

Taylor Swift has done it again. As anyone with a pulse knows, Taylor Swift's newest album Midnights was released on Friday October 21st. The work has become an instant mega-hit. It is such a mega-hit that it has actually surpassed 1 million units in THREE DAYS. It took her the equivalent of a long weekend to move over one million album equivalent units. Since these record breaking three days, she has since surpassed 1.2 million units which beats the week long record in JUST five days. The woman is a superstar.

This is the first time that the record has been broken in five years. Who was the holder of the previous record? Oh, that's right!

TAYLOR SWIFT!

With this incredible unit moving speed, Taylor Swift actually beat her own record. She set this record with the release of her iconic Reputation album back in 2017. Reputation hit 1.238 million units in one week. As Swift has now surpassed that standard at the end of five days, we can be certain that Swift is leaving her 2017 self in the dust.

This is not the only record that Midnights could be breaking. According to an article on Variety, the album already definitively has at least the third best streaming week for 2022. However, with several days still to go, Midnights stands an excellent chance of surpassing the current 2022 record holder Bad Bunny, who clinched the title with the release of his album Un Verano Sin Ti.

We will be watching these records, and we will let you know when the next gets broken. Now, off to listen to Midnights again!
