Zayn Malik, Gigi Hadid Post-Breakup: Model Keeps New Relationship With Leonardo DiCaprio Lowkey-Here's Why

After six years of dating, Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid called it quits. The pair are now co-parenting their daughter, Khai, and have kept their relationship cordial.

In recent reports, Hadid began dating actor Leonardo DiCaprio, however, many noted that the pair are not often seen doing public displays of affection-and apparently, there's a reason why.

A source revealed to Entertainment Tonight that the new couple is keeping their relationship low key, "They are trying to keep things private and not show too much PDA while out together."

'Mindful'

According to reports, the pair are perfectly blissful. 

"Gigi is trying to be mindful of Zayn's feelings and doesn't want to be disrespectful to him with her new relationship," the source continued.

"Gigi and Zayn both only want what is best for each other. They are doing their best to have a cordial relationship, be the best parents they can be, and co-parent Khai in a healthy way."

Perhaps the model was thinking of the singer's well being following their tough breakup, as Malik and Hadid's split came with its own set of controversies.

According to reports, Malik was accused of "striking" Yolanda Hadid, his ex-girlfriend's mother. He denied the allegations adamantly, reports say, however, he also pled no context to four charges of harassment against the model and her mother.

A source revealed to Entertainment Tonight shortly after the dispute, "Gigi and Zayn broke up after the incident with Yolanda. The two have been co-parenting but they are not together. They tried to make things work for their daughter, but it wasn't working out."

All 'Fun' and 'Well'

Despite keeping their relationship on the down-low, the 47-year-old actor and the 27-year-old model "are seeing each other in [New York City" when they can."

"She seems very happy and excited about seeing him. She is attracted to him. He treats her really well. She finds him mature and charming," said the source.

While she is having a great time with DiCaprio, Hadid has not neglected her mom duties. She and Malik welcomed Khai in September 2020.

On the other hand, prior to dating Hadid, DiCaprio reportedly broke up with Camila Morrone, after dating her for more than four years, earlier this year, reports say.
