Pop artist Rihanna delivered her second song in less than a month, prompting her fans to exclaim, "Not another Rihanna ballad!"

"Born Again" was released on Friday by the 34-year-old Bajan vocalist from the "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" soundtrack.

Members of her 'navy' fans lost no time coming to Twitter to express their displeasure with the song's lack of... being upbeat.

After Pop Crave said a new song would be released, a user named Jesus Sanchez arrived on the app on Thursday morning and said, "Hopefully it's not another ballad."

And someone person took an old photo of Mindy Kaling from "The Office "with a disappointed expression and remarked, "I'm settling down to listen to a second Rihanna ballad in a row."

"Born Again" follows "Lift Me Up," another slow song that was released a month before to the sequel's premiere on November 11th.

Rihanna's first solo song in six years, which debuted on October 28 and was gloomy, was a disappointment to her most devoted fans -- even though it allowed her a return to the charts, almost dethroning Taylor Swift. But not quite.

Maybe if it was a pop song?

Someone else on Twitter remarked, with crying laughing emojis, "Oh we got another Rihanna song and it's another ballad...the navy is not happy."

Fans appeared to be in agreement for the most part, with one fan adding, "rihanna with another ballad lord SHUT IT DOWN."

Peter Kash, a Toronto-based DJ, complained online that he misser her usual work.

The single's artwork featured a close-up grayscale photograph of the Bajan performer with her hair surrounding her face. She applied glittery makeup on her eyelids and matte lipstick on her shapely lips.

According to Billboard, the song debuted at number two on the singles charts for the tracking week of October 28 through November 3.

Seeing Rihanna on her "element" will not take long though. Rihanna will lead the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show during Super Bowl LVII on February 12, 2023. She will be the first performer to lead the halftime performance under the new agreement between Apple Music, the NFL, and Roc Nation.

The halftime performance is one of the most coveted musical spots, therefore it is only fitting that Rihanna returns to the stage in an iconic manner. Rihanna will return to her musical roots for the first time after focusing on her Fenty Beauty and Skin companies in recent years and welcoming her first child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky in May.
