J. Prince (also known as James Prince) is under fire in the aftermath of Takeoff's shooting.

The Rap-A-Lot CEO and his family honored Takeoff with a memorial outside 810 Billiards and Bowling in Houston last Friday, while friends and family gathered for the Migos rapper's funeral services in Atlanta, Georgia.

J Prince's memorial featured a small sign that said "RIP Takeoff" behind several flowers that read "H-Town" then the infinity symbol, then "The Prince Family," according to a clip provided by KTRK-TV.

According to the source, J Prince's family also released doves into the sky.

Several Twitter users were furious after the video of their tribute went viral. Many admirers were dissatisfied that "The Prince Family" and Takeoff's name were not included in the bouquets.

They also feel the monument to Takeoff was fake.

One Twitter user wrote, "J Prince will never see paradise," implying that the Prince family's memorial was deceptive.

"This was lowkey insulting, and I don't like it," said another.

"J Prince and they could have simply stayed at home and spared all that trash... If you ask me, Memorial had nothing to do with Takeoff," a third person said.

The 28-year-old rapper died on November 1, 2022, following an early morning gunshot, according to TMZ.

According to police and witnesses, it happened at 2:30 a.m. when Takeoff and Quavo were playing dice when an incident erupted, and that's when someone opened fire and shot Takeoff.

He was declared dead at the scene.

Who is Takeoff's Shooter?

Authorities have disclosed that they already have a few leads in the case of Takeoff's fatal shooting outside a private party at a bowling alley.

According to Chief Troy Finner, the majority of the 40 individuals who attended the party fled the scene as soon as the gunshots rang out, leaving them to beg people to come forward and offer testimonies and recordings to detectives about what they saw and heard.

It was also found that at least two persons fired the rounds, and two others who were hit by gunfire, including Takeoff's aide, received non-life threatening injuries and were taken to hospitals.

The matter is still ongoing as of this writing.

When word got out that the rapper had died, fans gathered across the street from the bowling alley and took dozens of bouquets to the scene of the shooting to pay their condolences. They made a monument the next day with additional flowers, candles, and a teddy bear.

The bowling alley is now open after the tragedy.
