Canadian rock icon Neil Young has expressed his intentions of embarking on a tour again in the coming months, but it seems like he has one condition for it to push through.

Hailed as one of the biggest musicians to have come from Canada, Neil Percival Young, or simply Neil Young has earned the title of Godfather of Grunge because of his relevant contribution to the rock genre.

Now, 77, Young seemed to be on a roll and would not be stopped.

While everyone is waiting for his grand comeback top touring, Young has finally laid down his cards and revealed what would convince him to go back on the road.

Earlier this year, the same question was asked to Young - is he ready to go back to touring? However, he said that it was still unsafe because of the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic. (via NME)

Now that the cases have died down dramatically, the question was popped up again. But unlike before, he has a rather different explanation.

Speaking to The New Yorker, Young admitted that he's "not sure" if he would want to return to touring again, saying that he has a plan instead.

"I have a plan," Young revealed. "I've been working on it with a couple of my friends for about seven or eight months. We're trying to figure out how to do a self-sustaining, renewable tour. Everything that moves our vehicles around, the stage, the lights, the sound, everything that powers it is clean. Nothing dirty with us. We set it up; we do this everywhere we go."

He furthered that going sustainable is something "very important to him," making sure that if he goes out again - he wants to ensure that "everything is clean."

"What was the last thing you remember eating at a show, and how good was it? Was it from a farm-made, homegrown village? I don't think so. It was from a factory farm that's killing us. I've been working on this idea of bringing the food and the drink and the merch into the realm where it's all clean. I will make sure that the food comes from real farmers," he told the outlet.

Numerous artists have also started doing sustainable touring, with Coldplay's "Music For The Spheres" tour, and also Shawn Mendes, as well as Justin Bieber.
