Cardi B has responded to a user who made fun of her economic hardship comments. Earlier this week, Cardi made a caustic remark about the economy on Twitter.

In response to a follower who highlighted her wealth, the Bodak Yellow rapper punched back. "We going through a recession..... Merry Christmas," she wrote, along with a festive Christmas tree emoji.

One of her fans quickly responded, "Says the rapper worth $40 million," accompanied by a GIF of a man shaking his head and rolling his eyes.

The 30-year-old stated that the estimate of her fortune was too low, but she must still manage her funds to support her extravagant lifestyle. "I'm worth more (than) that and guess what ? If I don't save ,work and budget I could lose it too!" she tweeted. "What makes you think that no matter how much money you got you can't lose it all if you don't manage your money correctly. I too have bills, responsibilities and people I have to help (sic)." The hip-hop singer is married to the Migos rapper Offset, with whom she shares two children, Kulture, 4, and Wave, 15 months.

But then the commenter is not that wrong.  Just a day before Christmas, Cardi B and Offset are competing with Santa Claus and his elves for wealth.

Saturday, the "Be Careful" rapper displayed piles of wrapped gifts that did not fit under her family's enormous, decorated Christmas tree. In a video posted to her Instagram Stories on Christmas Eve, she exclaimed, "My goodness," while displaying the expansive room packed with toys. "And Offset is coming more f-ing gifts," she added with a chuckle.

In the video, there were gifts scattered on the floor and even on the furniture. While Cardi, age 30, manages the household, Offset, age 31, has been bringing holiday cheer to people in need. The Migos musician, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, staged a gift giveaway on Friday in Lawrenceville, Georgia, his birthplace.

According to WSBTV, he remarked during the occasion, "Thanks to all the youngsters for always listening to me and for always being there." We have been experiencing difficult times, yet God is good. Offset continues to mourn the loss of his cousin, Takeoff, who was fatally shot and died on November 1 in a bowling alley in Houston, Texas.
