Tory Lanez was convicted guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion on December 23.
After being found guilty of three counts against him, including felony negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a semi-automatic handgun, and carrying a loaded and unlicensed gun, in July 2020, Tory may spend more than 20 years in prison for the event.
After exiting a party that Kylie Jenner hosted, the Canadian rapper, whose actual name is Daystar Peterson, denied shooting the "WAP" hitmaker.
But after years of backlash for her charges, Megan emotionally took the stand and admitted that she had hoped Tory had murdered her. According to testimony and medical documents, Megan also had gunshot pieces in her foot.
The most important pieces of evidence that supported his conviction were made public after a Los Angeles jury declared him guilty.
Meghann Cuniff, who attended court during the whole trial, stated that "for me, it was the apology call."
"We didn't actually hear much about it throughout the trial," she said, "because I guess prosecutors just kind of felt why bother. I mean, they played it in the opening," according to Radar Online.
Because he never mentions a shooting or a gun on the call, the prosecutor even stated during the closing argument that he and his partner in defense counsel had discussed it several times and are at a loss as to what else he might possibly be discussing.

Deputy district attorney Alexander Bott mentioned how Tory Lanez called Megan's old friend Kelsey Harris four hours after the event in July 2020 and apologized "profoundly."
The journalist continued by saying that they read it line by line, with a particular emphasis on him inquiring for the well-being of the female rapper, whose actual name is Megan Pete, in the hospital.
There was also even a text on July after the incident, at around 9 PM, to Megan, which Tory sent that read, "I know u prolly never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart."
"I was just too drunk."
Meghann Cuniff continued by saying that in the end, Tory offered a ton of proof for this in his messages to Megan Thee Stallion and phone call to Kelsey.
