A video of Jeremy Renner after a snowplow accident shows the actor and musician's horrifying "extensive" injuries.
Renner's publicist confirmed to CNN and The Hollywood Reporter that he was in critical but stable condition after getting injured in a weather-related accident in Nevada on Sunday. A news outlet has since released an exclusive video of him being airlifted to a hospital shortly after the snowplow accident.
In the clip, the "Hawkeye" actor can be seen being loaded onto the chopper as he suffered serious blood loss. Eyewitnesses revealed that Renner started plowing the road so his family could get out of their Tahoe home after a storm occurred on New Year's Eve.
One of his neighbors said the Snowcat - the plowing machine - ran over one of his legs. Another neighbor, who is reportedly a doctor, responded to the scene and put a tourniquet on the actor's leg until paramedics arrived in the area.
Washoe County Sheriff's Office shared a news release in which it confirmed that officers responded to the Mount Rose Highway in Reno after receiving a call about a person with a traumatic injury. It did not disclose the extent of his injuries or the cause of the accident as authorities said the machine should not have rolled over because of its safety features.
It added that the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health arranged Renner's medical transport to a local area hospital.
As of press time, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the event. Renner was reportedly the only injured person in the snowplow accident.

His family, meanwhile, assured everyone that the Marvel star is receiving excellent care.
"We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today," a representative said. "His family is with him, and he is receiving excellent care."
Jeremy Renner Has Been Using the Snowplow Machine for Years
Renner and his family have been residing in Washoe County for years. More than 31,000 people reportedly lost power due to a storm on New Year's Eve as heavy snowfall occurred in the area.
Before the recent accident, Renner showed the snowcat vehicle on an Instagram post. He captioned the post with "snowcat to the rescue" as he used the vehicle to clear the snowy terrain.
It remains unknown whether the snowplow accident will affect his appearance in the series "Mayor of Kingstown."
