GloRilla might be one of the biggest female rappers in the industry today, but it wasn't an easy journey for her as she worked hard to achieve her dreams. Recently, an old interview of the rapper resurfaced in which it was revealed that she spent time behind bars due to a bizarre reason.

According to Uproxx, an old clip from a May 2022 made rounds online. In the video, the rapper, whose real name is Gloria Woods, spoke to Funny Marco on his YouTube series.

The Memphis-based musician shared how she amassed massive success through the years then she later recalled an incident that happened years ago where she was sent to jail.

The host later asked the hip-hop artist about her criminal past, to which GloRilla confirmed that she indeed spent nearly three years in jail.

The reason why she spent time behind bars was because of stealing cereal at K-Mart.

"You did three years in jail?" the host asked, to which she confirmed, "yes." Funny Marco then told her, "that don't sound right, you don't go to jail for stealing cereal, right?"

Despite her past, GloRilla went on to harvest the fruit of her labor in the future as she is now officially a Grammy Award-nominated artist for Best Rap Performance.

In recent months, she collaborated with Cardi B, released her debut album "Anyways Life's Great...," and performed at the American Music Awards.
