Katy Perry has officially joined the top 25 artists with the most monthly listeners on Spotify.
The "Dark Horse" singer has been making her name in the world of music for quite some time. She, like any other great artist, has had her genres. She has had her memeable moments. (The world went crazy over debating whether they were left shark or right shark. Only the real ones remember.) Just recently she went viral over her doll-eye twitch while she was performing in Las Vegas.
An icon through and through, Katy Perry has stood the test of time. Now, she is moving up even higher in the ranks. The star just passed Michael Buble in most monthly listeners. This puts Perry squarely in the Top 25 most monthly listeners out of all artists on Spotify. While we are sad to see the jazzy star drop a bit lower on the list, we are thrilled that Perry has made her way there.
Not only has the star accomplished this feat on Spotify, but her music videos are currently, to use a technical term, popping off. Her music video to the obsession-creating song "Wide Awake" has recently reached 994 million views according to a recent Tweet. This music video is from ten years ago, and it is still crushing. All of this Perry news has awakened a revived fervor for the star, and we are absolutely here for it.
