He discovered his love for music when he was a teenager, but aside from playing instruments and using his vocals, he was also fond of other activities such as football, surfing, basketball, and many more.

According to Music in Minnesota, his career took off when he was discovered by Motley Crue in the early 1980s. At the time, the musician was performing with his band Rock Candy and Tommy Lee suggested that he play.

The two future bandmates have known each other earlier in life and the drummer thought the singer's image would fit with their band, which was just starting at the time.

Neil immediately became a part of the band and recorded his debut project with the album "Too Fast for Love," which was released the same year after he was discovered.

Two years later, their sophomore record "Shout at the Devil" made the rock band skyrocket into the international scene. Motley Crue was flying high in the 80s, but the singer suffered from a big problem, leading him to be fired from the group.

In the early 90s, Vince Neil and his bandmates decided to part ways as the musician had alcohol problems. His struggles heavily affected his career as he wasn't able to perform and rehearse with his pals.

Later on, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars, and Tommy Lee, finally decided to let go of their friend as he was holding them back. Even though the main problem was the singer's alcohol problems, the band issued a different statement, saying he changed priorities in life.

"Race car driving has become a priority in Neil's life," they said, adding the rest of the members felt he didn't have the same passion for music. (via Newsweek)

It wasn't the end of the road for Vince Neil as he later reunited with his band in 1997. Even though he released solo projects through the years, his relationship with Motley Crue remained firm, making him a successful musician with an estimated net worth of $50 million. (via Celebrity Net Worth)

Today, the band is gearing up to travel across Latin America and Europe throughout 2023 for their world tour in collaboration with Def Leppard, but they are still currently in the United States for a few shows.

Their last shows in the U.S. will be at the Mark G Etess arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on February 10 and 11. For the complete tour dates and information about tickets, visit their official website here.
