Bonnie Raitt's "Just Like That" won Song of the Year at the 2023 Grammy Awards, which sparked a myriad of reactions from artists, celebrities, fans, and audiences alike, but arguably the most prominent reaction was shock and rage.

Raitt was considered a dark horse in the category, after all, many don't even know her or any of her songs, but she won anyway.

No one was more surprised than the blues singer herself, "To be 73 years old and get a Song of the Year ... when I'm barely a songwriter? After five decades, I do it 'cause I love it. I'm so lucky I still get to do this for a living."

Following her unexpected win, pop music lovers rushed over to the 73-year-old's discography to listen to the song that bested songs released by Beyonce, Adele, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar, DJ Khaled, and more.

Just days after her victorious lap at the Grammys, Raitt is now raking in the dough, "Just Like That" is seeing a major uptick in streams and sales.

According to The Tennessean, the song got a 12,900% sales increase, while the album with the same name saw an increase of 605%.

On the other hand, the streams of "Just Like That" also saw an uptick, from streams of a little over 10,000 before the Grammys to 670,000 daily in the U.S. alone in just two days after receiving the prestigious award, Billboard reported.

Who is Boonie Raitt?

Prior to her 2023 Grammys win, fans of other artists jested and joked that Raitt is considered as a nobody-a completely unknown artist who snatched the Song of the Year award from the "more deserving" artists.

However, Raitt has been around for decades, dating back to 1971 when she released her self-titled debut album. Her music career began long before some of the nominees were even born.

She is a 15-time Grammy winner, which includes the three she won days ago, Song of the Year, Best American Roots Song, and Best Americana Performance.

On top of that, she was honored with the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award back in 2022.

By no means is Raitt a novice in the industry, and she is definitely no stranger to the Recording Academy.

Raitt spoke about what inspired "Just Like That" after winning Song of the Year: "I feel that people's hearts have been broken and they've been so discouraged and anxious, at least I have been."
