50 Cent is one of the most prominent rappers in the music industry. Although he is dubbed problematic by many because of his takes on certain issues, many have still looked up to him for thoughts and opinions on certain industry-related issues.

Most recently, 50 Cent weighed in on one of the highly-debated topics in the female rap game - where does he stand on the Nicki Minaj and Cardi B feud?

Speaking to Billboard, 50 Cent has been candid in his answers while also giving much detail and context on why he arrived at his answers.

For him, he likes Nicki Minaj, but interestingly he also likes watching her getting upset about things.

"I like that because she has something that comes from the experience of living in South Jamaica. I'm looking at it like, 'Yo, I know they think she's nuts, but they only think that because they don't understand.' I get it. She thinks you're trying to play her," he told the publication.

50 Cent and Nicki Minaj shares a deep-rooted connection as both hail from South Jamaica, a neighborhood in Queens, New York City.

As for his thoughts on Cardi B, he described the female rapper's origins and trajectory as getting the American Dream - from being a stripper in Brooklyn to becoming a Grammy-winning rapper with a husband and a child.

The two have been pitted against each other as both of their fanbases try to outshine each other - with most conversations circling on who's better than the other and who is the current Queen of Rap.

The Nicki Minaj and Cardi B feud, however, was taken to another level when the two were involved in a physical altercation at a New York Fashion Week event in 2017.

"When her and Nicki clash, I go, 'Oh, sh-t, it's going to be interesting to watch how it plays out," 50 Cent said of the feud.

But for him, lyrically, he favors Nicki while providing no comment on Cardi B.

"I think anyone who comes now, she is going to check their temperature. Nicki is going to check if this b-h is friendly or looking to take over the sh-t," he furthered.

Both Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are expected to release their next albums this 2023, with Nicki pressed to release her fifth album and Cardi her sophomore project.
