In celebration of the 50th Year of the Hiphop genre, Billboard has rolled out a list of the 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time, with each week unveiling ten rappers at a time.

Now, in the most recent list, the Billboard Greatest Rappers of All Time hailed Nicki Minaj and Jay-Z as the best female and male rappers, respectively.

Nicki Minaj, The Greatest Female Rapper of All Time

Minaj ranked No. 10 on the list and the highest-ranking female in the category. Compared to her peers like Cardi B, Nicki Minaj outranked her in terms of this list.

Notably, Minaj also ranked higher than early 90s female hip hop rappers like Queen Latifah, who ranked No. 44, Lil Kim, who ranked No. 31; Lauryn Hill, who ranked No. 30; and Missy Eliott, at No. 19.

Although she has yet to win a Grammy Award, Minaj has her multi-platinum records and albums to boast about. Her most recent single, "Super Freaky Girl," was the first solo female rap song to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts since Lauryn Hill's "Doo Woop (That Thing) in 1998.

Interestingly, Nicki Minaj ranked at No. 10, higher than Kanye West, who has included her in his star-studded roster of artists in the track "Monster," which was deemed as one of Minaj's greatest rap verses of all time, being the only female in the men-dominated track.

Snoop Dogg placed ninth, Drake eighth, Lil Wayne seventh, The Notorious B.I.G. sixth, Eminem fifth, and Tupac fourth.

The top 3, however, belonged to three MCs - Nas, Kendrick Lamar, and Jay-Z.
