SZA reached a new milestone after Billboard Women in Music Awards officially named her this year's Woman of the Year. The singer will be honored on march 1 at the YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Los Angeles during the Billboard Women in Music Awards ceremony.

Billboard's editorial director Hannah Karp penned a statement in which she applauded her skills and talents that defied genres since she debuted.

"The release of her latest album, SOS, has solidified her as a distinct force in contemporary R&B, and catapulted her into superstardom. We can't wait to honor her as Woman of the Year," the statement continued.

With the accolades continuously adding to her belt, SZA's net worth has already reached an impressive mark as of 2023.

The singer, whose real name is Solana Imani Rowe, started her music career in the early 2010s. However, she waited until 2017 to have her first major-label recording contract with RCA Records.

After dropping her "Drew Barrymore" single from her "Ctrl" album, she released the debut album officially in June.

"Ctrl" debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 after selling 125,000 equivalent units. Amid the success of her album, her popularity catapulted when she started her North American concert tour.

When she created two designs for Crocs, the proceeds from the sales were donated to several organizations and groups, including Sad Girls Club, Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness as part of the Mental Health Awareness Month in 2020.
