What happens when Hayley Williams procrastinates? Well, she gets lost in her own world, of course.

Paramore is taking everyone to Wonderland with their music video for "Running Out of Time," the newest single off their recently released album "This Is Why."

When we first started writing the album I wanted to challenge myself to write about ordinary things," Williams explained. I am horrific at time management and that feels about like the most mundane thing anyone could talk about... seemed like a fun challenge."

The music video for "Running Out of Time" starts with the 34-year-old singer in a recording studio, and as she is sitting there, monsters appear out of nowhere, coming for her.

She eventually finds herself in what looks like Wonderland, a completely different, trippy, and wacky place.

"It kept me from getting all deep and dark which is actually an easier place, internally, for me to dwell," she continued. "Then again, expanding on those feelings isn't all that different from the anxieties a lot of us feel about living on planet earth in 2023."

Just like everyone else on the planet, Williams expressed how time just slips through her fingers and she tends to lose herself in her own little world-which is probably why the music video is the way it is.

The lyrics go: "Intentions only get you so far/ (It was on my list, I swear I meant to get to it)/ A harsh reality to discover, ah/ I'm always runnin' out of time/ (She's always runnin' out of time)/ I'm always runnin' out of time."

Hayley Williams on Time Management

Williams revealed just how hectic her schedule can be-she has to plan everything in advance if she wants to keep up with birthdays, holidays, and the like.

"I was like, 'I can barely remember to send someone a card or flowers.' There are still Christmas gifts at my house that I have not sent to my friends just sitting there in the back of my closet," she told Zane Lowe in an interview.

"Two of the people I was supposed to give a gift to, I was like, 'Sorry, I forgot to put [the gifts] in my suitcase so you still don't get a gift.' I wish that I was the person that felt like I had all my s**t together and I was like, 'Oh, I had some extra time, so I'm just popping by with some flowers.' That kind of a thing, that is my idealized self."
