Paris Hilton claims she had a disturbing encounter with Harvey Weinstein when she was a teenager at the Cannes Film Festival. Weinstein's rep now belied all the claims and said that his client's camp might likely sue.

Hilton told Glamour UK magazine that Weinstein asked her if she wanted to be an actor while she was eating lunch with a female friend at the festival in 2000.

The then-19-year-old Hilton reportedly said that she really wanted to. At the time, Paris was impressed by Weinstein and felt he was "cool." Afterwards, Weinstein allegedly pursued her while stating, "Well, we should have a meeting. You can come up to my room and read scripts'... and I just didn't want to go, so I never went."

The following evening, Paris claims Weinstein followed her into the ladies toilet at the annual amfAR gala for AIDS research at the festival and said, "Ya wanna be a star?" And then, Weinstein attempted to open the bathroom door and began to strike it with his fist. Paris claims that she refused to answer the door and asked Weinstein, why he would go into her stall. Eventually, security arrived and removed Weinstein - the event's host - out of the venue.

While Weinstein was being carried away, he allegedly screamed, "This is my party!" Paris admits, "It scared me and freaked me out."

Weinstein's rep, Juda Engelmayer, tells TMZ  that Harvey Weinstein is so disappointed with Paris Hilton that he is considering pursuing a defamation lawsuit against her. Juda says, "Harvey told me that this never happened. He never yelled at her and never followed her. There were many people at amfAR, and this is provably false. Too bad it's all too convenient and seemingly popular to just say it without anything backing it up and it's just printed as if defamation doesn't matter anymore. Harvey intends to file a defamation suit against Paris Hilton."

As most are aware now, Weinstein was sentenced to 16 years in jail for sexual assault on Thursday at his trial in Los Angeles. Moreover, he is serving 23 years for a rape conviction in New York in 2020.

Meanwhile, Hilton's fans must be aware that she originally exposed elements of her violent past in her renowned 2020 Internet video, "This Is Paris," three years ago. In it, she discusses the abuse she endured during her two years at several programs for problematic kids, including Utah's Provo Canyon School, where she spent eleven months. She was also the victim of a leaked sex tape and the general hostile attitude towards women in Hollywood throughout the early 2000s, so her claim that she feels like a survivor is perfectly legitimate.
