Matty Healy is under fire recently after a resurface audio clip of him resurfaced online, talking badly about up-and-coming rapper Ice Spice despite the "Boy's A Liar Pt.2" songstress admitting that she's a fan of The 1975.

It all started when a fan recently shared a TikTok stitch video of the rapper and the musician's podcast appearance on Twitter. The caption reads, "it's crazy how these industry men hate on Ice Spice when she does nothing but show love and support to them."

The short video shows Ice Spice in an interview with Indie Mixtape, saying she's a fan of alternative music, like Coldplay and The 1975.

"I listen to alternative music, I feel like a lot of people wouldn't expect that. Shout out Coldplay, The 1975. [I'm] obsessed with them," she said.

Even though she openly supports the Manchester-based band, many fans were upset about Matty Healy's comments about the rapper that made rounds on social media.

Last month, the frontman appeared on "The Adam Friedland Show" where he discussed Harry Styles' queerbating issue and reacted on Ice Spice.

Many fans immediately accused him and the hosts of racism as they joked bout the hip-hop artist's Inuit descent, and even reportedly mocked the Chinese and Hawaiian accents. (Ice Spice is Nigerian and Dominican)

"She's like a rapper from the Spice Girls... Inuit Spice Girl. Just this chubby Chinese lady," the trio discussed.

Online users were upset about the situation, leading them to react on the matter, with one fan writing, "It doesn't even matter who they're talking about, the fact that this is the way they talk in general with ease is a red flag."

"this is so gross everything i've ever seen abt matty healy just makes me hate him more," another one wrote.

"As much as I love 1975 I always had a funny feeling about their lead singer, never really liked the way he communicated with his fans, also some his lyrics are a little fishy," one user expressed.

As of this writing, Ice Spice has not publicly reacted to the interview.

In recent updates, the rapper's smash PinkPantheresss collaboration hit titled "Boy's A Liar Pt.2" entered the Billboard Hot100 for the first time. The track now sits at number three below Miley Cyrus' "Flowers" and SZA's "Kill Bill."
