The Queen of Rap is also becoming a mogul too!

Nicki Minaj, through her Queen Radio, just announced her new business undertaking - a new record label! The announcement came months after Latto accused Minaj of saying that she was not "flourishing" as a young female rapper and was even unsupportive of acts like hers.

Nicki Minaj Record Label

On Nicki Minaj's comeback episode at "Queen Radio," streamed exclusively on Amp, Amazon's interactive radio, she announced that she would be launching her very own record label under Republic Records.

According to XXL Magazine, Minaj would be the first-ever female rapper to own a music label.

"I'm not gonna announce the name, but I have a record label now," she told her podcast. "And because I believe so strongly in loyalty and because I spent my whole life giving to others that turned around and s**t on me, Paddy Dukes is the first A&R on my label."

The first one was Nana Fofie, a Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Baltimore rap artist Tate Kobang, and New York rappers London Hill and Rico Danna.

The artists took to their social media accounts to share the news, coinciding with Minaj's release on Queen Radio.

Elsewhere on the podcast, Minaj doubled down on how Lil Wayne's support mattered to her so much that it catapulted her into one of music's most prominent figures. She revealed that that was also her inspiration for the next generation.

"So I understand the importance of having somebody else doing the heavy lifting for you. I understand why people are coming out and they're so, you know, microwaveable and they're here today and gone tomorrow, because there's no structure," Minaj continued. "There's no real person that believes in them. That's like, 'nah, I'm gonna make it my business to see you shine."

Nicki Minaj, Latto Feud

In the past year, Latto, who publicly claims to be a Nicki Minaj fan, got in a spat with Minaj after the latter called out The Recording Academy for reportedly recategorizing her song "Super Freaky Girl" out of the Rap categories for the 2023 Grammy nominations.

Latto engaged in an online catfight with Minaj, in which she threw ageist remarks on the rapper, among other accusations of her non-support for upcoming female rappers on the scene.
