Throughout the past two years, there have been several cases of injuries happening during live concert events. The best example would be Travis Scott's Astrowold Festival in 2021 which claimed the lives of concertgoers and injured over a hundred.

More recently, up-and-coming rapper GloRilla recently experienced a tragedy as there were attendees who passed away and got hurt during her concert in New York.

The musician took to her official Twitter account to address the issue, saying she's devastated and heartbroken over what happened over the weekend.

"My fans mean the world to me praying for their families & for a speedy recovery of everyone affected," she added. (via Uproxx)

The recent social media post comes after the female rapper's performance at the Main Street Armory in Rochester, New York, on the evening of March 5.

At first, several reports circulated online that there was one attendee who passed away, but the Associated Press recently reported that the death toll has increased to two. (via PHL17)

Regarding those who have been injured, there is now a total of eight people who got hurt at the event.

Malik Evans, the mayor of Rochester, recently reacted to the incident, saying the fatal stampede that happened is "totally unacceptable," adding that they will hold people accountable and he intends to "get to the bottom of this."

In early reports, Rochester police spoke to CNN, saying they believed fans immediately went out of the concert venue after hearing the sound of gunfire.

Authorities added preliminary reports from witnesses revealed that the injuries at the event were caused because of a stampede and they still don't have any proof that gunshots were fired during the night of March 5.

Unfortunately, the incident caused a 33-year-old woman named Rhondesia Belton's death. She passed away at the hospital after being injured inside Main Street Armory. Another woman, who was not named by the police, also died.

Today, one woman is in critical condition while the seven other injured people are not believed to have life-threatening conditions.

As of this writing, the venue's owners are being investigated over the matter regarding safety measures.
