Florence and The Machine's cover of "Just a Girl" is perfectly eerie and upbeat, a fitting soundtrack for the upcoming "Yellowjackets" season.

Florence Welch, the band's vocalist, has expressed her excitement and enthusiasm to be on the brand new season's soundtrack for quite some time now.

She even shared clips of herself going through items in a dressing room and choosing a "Yellowjacket" jacket from a clothing rack from the show.

Welch captioned the video, "So happy I got picked for the team this year."

When asked about how she came to choose No Doubt's "Just a Girl" to cover for the song, she remarked: "I'm such a huge fan of 'Yellowjackets' and this era of music, and this song especially had a huge impact on me growing up, so I was thrilled to be asked to interpret it in a 'deeply unsettling' way for the show."

According to Variety, "Yellowjackets" is a psychological series that follows a group of a high school girls' soccer team who survived a plane crash.

They are left stranded deep in Canadian woods in freezing temperatures. The series shows the timeline of the events, jumping between flashbacks and the present day.

Set in 1996, the girls are left to fend for themselves as they have no way of calling for help.

"We tried to really add some horror elements to this iconic song to fit the tone of the show," Welch continued. "And as someone [whose] first musical love was pop-punk and Gwen Stefani it was a dream job."
