Taylor Swift just kicked off her long-awaited and controversial "The Eras" tour in Glendale, Arizona, and many fans have been raving about how good her set design and visuals were. More recently, Anna Marie Tendler shared a video of herself calling out the pop star for copying her, but she later revealed the truth.

According to Page Six, John Mulaney's ex-wife amassed negative comments from fans after posting the clip of herself reacting to the singer's performance of "Tolerate It."

The video, which was later taken down from TikTok, first showed the "Paper Rings" hitmaker setting up a dinner table on stage while wearing a yellow dress.

The 49-second clip was later stitched with Tendler's reaction with a photo behind her where she claimed to be taken by herself and that Swift copied it from her.

"Taylor my girl, people who designed Taylor's tour, this tolerated setup looks strikingly like one of my photographs in tone and aesthetics," she said.

She further noted that it didn't feel like parallel thinking to her because she's a small and independent artist who's trying to earn money and survive through her artworks.

Tendler concluded the video by asking help from people before showing the screenshot of the fine art print, which costs $5,000, for sale on her website.

Anna Marie Tendler Says Video Was a Joke

The multimedia artist backtracked from her initial video after she was called out by fans as she now claims her clip was a joke.

"When I realized it wasn't landing as a joke I deleted it... Didn't mean offense," she wrote. As of this writing, Anna Marie Tendler's TikTok account has been private.

Even though the 35-year-old clarified that she was not serious with the video, fans still continue to call her out on Twitter, with one fan writing, "She said it's a joke...but where's the joke....???????"

"I want to believe this is satire but it rly doesn't read that way," another one wrote.
