Fleetwood Mac's female singers, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie have been commended as two of the most influential musicians of all time as they inspired many younger artists over the past few decades. Being the only two ladies in the band, Nicks has thought of adding another member if the group was established in the modern world.

In an interview with CBS nearly three years ago, the "Edge of Seventeen" songstress opened up about not being taken seriously as female musicians during the 1970s.

She recalled making a pact with McVie at the time, saying if they were in a room with other guitar plays that didn't treat them with the respect and kindness that they deserved, they would "just stand up and say 'This party's over,'" and would walk out. (via Society of Rock)

In addition, the singer also noted that when they would never take any disrespect from anyone in the industry. Since then, none of the famous men of music look through them.

Nicks proved that her and McVie's friendship is unbreakable even after they left Fleetwood Mac.

Lorde a Perfect Candidate for Fleetwood Mac's 3rd Female Singer?

Even though the two musicians already had a successful run with the band, Stevie Nicks previously shared her thoughts about a certain singer who could potentially join them if the group would begin in the modern age.

During her solo tour in 2021, the musician said Lorde could potentially be the third singer of the group even though they didn't know each other.

"I was hoping I would get to cross paths with her. But I think she is so very talented. Like, if she had been my age, and lived our age, she probably would have been the third girl in Fleetwood Mac," she said.

Stevie Nicks Has a Gift for Lorde

In a previous interview with The New Yorker, the songstress revealed she had a special gift for the "Stoned at the Nail Salon" hitmaker. However, she never got the chance to give it to her.

She explained that the last time Fleetwood Mac performed in New Zealand, the international pop star was in the audience with her parents and Nicks was sad that they didn't get to meet each other face-to-face.

Speaking about her gift, the musician said she has a "moon" for her inside a box with a little note.

According to Showbiz CheatSheet, Nicks was referring to her famous necklaces and she's known for giving the accessories to some of her beloved friends and other musicians.
