According to TMZ-obtained documents, Lance Reddick's real cause of death has already been revealed.

At the time, Lance Reddick's cause of death was ruled out as "natural causes," as he was found dead at his home in Los Angeles, California, last Mar. 17, 2023.

The 60-year-old actor's health condition at the time was not also disclosed to the public since minimal information was known.

Lance Reddick's real cause of death, based on his death certificate, was ischemic heart disease as well as atherosclerotic coronary artery Disease.

His death certificate also stated that he wanted to be cremated.

How Did Lance Reddick Die?

Based on his death certificate, Lance Reddick died of heart and artery disease.

According to The Mayo Clinic,iIschemic heart disease or myocardial ischemia occurs when the blood flow to one's heart is reduced, preventing the heart's musculature from receiving enough oxygen. It is usually caused by a partial or complete blockage of the heart's arteries.

In addition, Lance Reddick's real cause of death was also attributed to atherosclerotic coronary rtaery disease or atherosclerosis. It is a specific type of arteriosclerosis, a blockage of the heart's arteries, which is characterized by the buildup of fats, cholesterol, and other substances in the artery walls.

It was also the outlet that broke the story initially, noting that it was his wife, Stephanie, who found him collapsed in the backyard and dialed 911 immediately to seek help.

Lance Reddick Music Career

Aside from having notable roles in "John Wick," "The Wire," "Godzilla vs Kong," and "Angel Has Fallen," Lance Reddick also has a music career.

In fact, he attended The Walden School in California, enrolling in Music Theory and Composition Summer Program. He even studied classical music composition and even graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Music at the University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music.

He released his own R&B soul album, "Contemplations & Remembrances."
