Queen of Dancehall Spice detailed how severe her health issue was that she prepared a will while she was in a hospital.
The crooner surprised everyone with her "pregnancy" announcement in March. But far from what the photo shows, Spice clarified that it only symbolizes her "return" to life and that she was not really expecting a child.
After her surprising update, she detailed a serious health scare and revealed what she went through at that time.
Spice Faced Near-Death Experience
In an exclusive interview with a news outlet, the 40-year-old "Conjugal Visit" hitmaker shared her experience when she suffered a ruptured hernia. Things went more concerning when the health condition led to sepsis and 30 lb. weight loss.
"God is real and God saved my life. I died and I escaped death and I was given another chance. And that's all that matters to me right now," she said.
The interviewer asked her more about the time she was "brought back to life," and that was when Spice said the sepsis she had started attacking her organs. Per the crooner, she was so afraid she might already be on her deathbed that she already prepared a will.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, around 1.7 million adults in the US develop sepsis; 350,000 of them die during their hospitalization and even after discharge. The condition refers to the body's extreme response to an infection, and it mostly starts in a person's lungs, urinary tract, gastrointestinal tract, or skin.
Sepsis, unfortunately, can lead to tissue damage, organ failure, and even death.
Spice revealed that a team of 14 doctors helped her recover from the near-fatal health issue. She also underwent three procedures which led her to stay in the hospital for two months and undergo six months of recuperation to relearn her body's functions again.
Spice Thanks Fans for Prayers
It was not the first time the Jamaican singer spoke up about the ruptured hernia and sepsis she suffered from.
In an Instagram post, she thanked fans for their prayers after facing the medical scare. She noted that she also had a heart attack and was in a coma at that time.
Amid her recovery period, Spice also had to deal with botched surgery rumors. Buzz revealed that she underwent a procedure to have a Brazillian Butt Lift. She has not commented on the rumors yet.
