After a lackluster and polarizing Coachella performance, Frank Ocean reportedly drops out of his Weekend 2 performance as a headliner at the annual music and arts festival.

Earlier this week, reports reveal that the singer has scrapped a huge spectacle performance after suffering from a physical injury.

Frank Ocean Quits Coachella Performance

According to TMZ, Frank Ocean has pulled the plug on his Weekend 2 Coachella performance. The singer's representative told the media outlet that he has sustained two fractures and a sprain in his left leg.

"After suffering an injury to his leg on festival grounds in the week leading up to weekend 1, Frank Ocean was unable to perform the intended show but was still intent on performing, and in 72 hours, the show was reworked out of necessity," they said in a statement.

The rep continued to reveal that the announcement came on the heels of Ocean's doctor's advice.

"It was chaotic. There is some beauty in chaos. It isn't what I intended to show but I did enjoy being out there and I'll see you soon," Frank Ocean exclusively said about his performance now being pulled out.

The same outlet initially reported via insiders that Ocean had sustained injuries leading to his Coachella performance, leading to his "lackluster" performance. Coachella festivalgoers had polarizing opinions on Frank Ocean's performance, saying that he arrived late and could not be seen on stage due to the poorly-lit venue.

Frank Ocean's Coachella 2023 Performance is his first one in many years, which is why many of his longtime fans were disappointed with his anticlimactic return.

Former hockey players Dan and Chris Powers also confirmed in an episode of Empty Netters the rumors of the scrapped "Frank Ocean on Ice" Coachella performance.

"There was a lot of sunk time for the participants," Chris revealed. "Because we've been rehearsing for months... You guys gotta keep in mind, the skating portion was going to be huge, it was going to be 120 skaters. And the people that walked was only like 30."
