Jamie Foxx is said to be "awake and alert" following his hospitalization in Georgia earlier this month.

Multiple news outlets revealed that Foxx suffered a medical complication last week after his daughter, Corinne Foxx, shared the health-related incident on Instagram. The Tuesday post did not disclose further details about the patriarch's condition, but he continues to recuperate in the hospital over a week after his admission.

Jamie Foxx's Health Update

A source told People that the "You Changed Me" singer is still recovering at the hospital but assured the public that he is already doing well.

"He's still in the hospital and doctors are running tests but he's awake and alert," the source said. "They're keeping him under observation."

This resonated with what other insiders told the same news outlet. They confirmed that the 55-year-old actor-singer is "steadily" improving in the Georgia medical facility.

The update was released after a separate source revealed to CNN Monday that Foxx needed to undergo medical tests. They also clarified that the medical incident did not happen while he was on set in Atlanta for his upcoming Netflix movie, "Back in Action."

Foxx was also not transported via emergency vehicle despite the health complication happening suddenly.

The results of the tests, which will determine what truly happened to Foxx, are yet to be released to the public.

On the other hand, the film's team continued its production after it initially shut down Wednesday. It resumed filming the next day with the actor's stand-in.

Foxx has not released a new album since his 2015 "Hollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses." Aside from being a renowned actor, he notably dropped several hit songs as a musician in the past decades.

Martin Lawrence Shares Jamie Foxx's Status

Apart from the source, Martin Lawrence also gave a positive update on Jamie Foxx's health status during his Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony.

The actor revealed that he heard Foxx is already doing better. Still, he sent him his well wishes like other celebrities and personalities did.

"My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him, one of the best we got in Hollywood. Not only one of the best entertainers, but a good person," he went on.

Steve Harvey, Tracy Morgan, and more stars wished their pal Foxx a speedy recovery, as well, in the past few days.
